Kevin Wakefield teaches acoustic and electric guitar lessons in the Spokane area, in person at his Colbert studio and online. Students learn chords, strumming, riffs and music reading while playing songs they choose, with a clear path from their first chord to playing with other musicians.
Beginners of any age, players who learned a few chords online and got stuck, and anyone who wants to play in a band or worship team.
From Journey, Toto and Styx to Bruno Mars and today’s worship songs, students build real skills on real music. Kevin has played guitar on stage in variety bands and worship teams, so lessons cover what actually happens in a band, not just what is on the page.
Because Kevin plays keys, horns and guitar and sings, guitar students learn how their part fits with everything around it. That is what makes a player easy to play music with.

In-person lessons are held at Kevin’s studio at 61 W. Ballard Rd., Colbert, WA 99005, in north Spokane County. Online lessons are live and interactive over video.
