Kevin Wakefield teaches bass guitar lessons in the Spokane area, in person in Colbert and online. Bass students learn groove, timing, reading and the theory behind bass lines, so they can lock in with a drummer and play confidently in a band or worship team.
New bassists, guitarists switching to bass, and band or worship players who want tighter time and better lines.
Bass is where harmony and rhythm meet. Kevin has played in, led and produced many ensembles, and he teaches bassists to hear the whole band: what the drummer is doing, where the chords are going, and how to make everyone sound better.

Bass has fewer notes at a time, which helps beginners, but great bass playing takes real timing and feel. Kevin teaches both from the first lesson.
In-person lessons are held at Kevin’s studio at 61 W. Ballard Rd., Colbert, WA 99005, in north Spokane County. Online lessons are live and interactive over video.
